CourMed Now Has Next-Day Delivery of Healthcare Items in DFW

The start-up uses crowd-sourced drivers to bring pharmaceuticals to your doorstep.

Pharmacies and patients in the Dallas-Fort Worth area will now have a new option for accessing their medications and healthcare items through CourMed‘s next-day delivery. Items such as prescription medications, premium vitamins and supplements, as well as eyewear and some natural medicines will now be available for delivery directly to the patient’s home or workplace.

CourMed deliveries are made through a web of crowdsourced drivers, and pharmacy patients can expect their orders by the next day, sometimes even within a couple of hours, and at no extra cost to them. The pharmacies will foot the tab for delivery while expanding the availability of their product to the patients. After a suburban pharmacy’s pilot program delivered healthcare items next-day to patients, the company has expanded to encompass the greater DFW metroplex.

CourMed Co-founder Derrick L. Miles states, “We are changing the healthcare game by providing this vital convenience. Not only this, but CourMed knows the urgency involved in distributing specialty pharmaceuticals and the need to have them transported efficiently.”

Enterprise software supports use of the program by CourMed customers such as pharmacists, optometrists as well as vitamin and supplement store owners. This allows them to keep patients in the loop on their deliveries and offers opportunity for video consultations, allowing pharmacies to easily collect customer feedback. Even with all of these advantages, Miles continues, “Despite the rapid growth of CourMed service offerings, which we are thrilled about, I believe our greatest accomplishment since our launch in 2018 is the way in which our drivers deliver empathy and care along with the healthcare items. With our new next-day delivery, we will be able to meet even greater needs.”
