Brett Lee will be the first president of Texas Health Hospital Frisco, a collaboration between UT Southwestern and Texas Health Resources which is scheduled to open late this year. He arrives after spending most of his career in the pediatric hospital world, most recently serving as the vice president of operations and clinical services at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.
The hospital will open with 73 beds, an 24/7 emergency department, surgical services, women’s services, and a neonatal intensive care unit. It will also include an expansion of the Peter O’Donnell Jr. Brain Institute, a multi-specialty center that will have ophthalmology, otolaryngology, gastroenterology and dermatology services, and the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center will provide colon cancer screening and treatment.
While at Children’s Health, Lee worked with UT Southwestern Medical Center to open Children’s Health Plano and helped with the recruitment of multiple faculty members. He also was the president of a joint venture between Tenet Healthcare and Baylor Scott and White Health that operated five hospitals in North Texas, including one in Frisco.
