Plano-based Community Hospital Consulting has named a CEO for the rural hospital it manages in Fairfield, in concert with the Fairfield Hospital District. John Yeary, who has been interim CEO at Freestone Medical Center since March, took up the position full-time starting Aug. 1.
CHC’s release says Yeary has served in administrative roles within various Texas- and Louisiana-based hospital systems, including UT Southwestern Medical Center. He has a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University–San Antonio.
Freestone is a 37-bed community hospital.
“We are excited to have John fully on board to lead Freestone Medical Center and continue the hospital’s mission to serve area residents with quality healthcare for years to come,” said Craig Sims, senior vice president of Hospital Operations for CHC, in a statement.
