Modern Healthcare’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in healthcare is out, and a couple of North Texas Leaders made the cut. Baylor Scott & White Health CEO Jim Hinton comes in as No. 30. Vizient CEO Byron Jobe lands at No. 66.
Hinton came in at No. 57 last year, while Jobe, who became the Irving-based healthcare membership firm’s CEO earlier this year, was unlisted.
“Since taking the helm at Baylor Scott & White in 2017, Jim has driven change,” said Ross McKnight, chairman of the Baylor Scott & White Holdings Board, in a statement sent over to D CEO Healthcare. “Under his leadership, the organization is now advancing a new strategy laser focused on delivering higher value, more affordable healthcare with a better experience; and as Modern Healthcare recognized, its already proving results from which millions of Texans are benefitting. Jim is an impactful leader in a time of great transformation in the industry.”
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is ranked No. 40 on MH’s list. The top perch is held by President Donald Trump, followed by a 12-way tie for second, each of the 12 tagged as a “disrupter.” Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and Apple CEO Tim Cook are among that group.
The selections for the list are made by the editors of Modern Healthcare. Here’s the full list.
