Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health has selected Chris York to serve as president of its Grapevine campus.

As president of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Grapevine, he’ll lead a 302-bed acute care hospital that became a Level II trauma center last year. Former Grapevine campus president Steven Nelson was promoted to president of Baylor Scott & White’s flagship location in downtown Dallas, Baylor University Medical Center, in July.

York comes over from a stint as president of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie, where he’s spent the last four years. He joined the not-for-profit healthcare system in 2007 and was chief operating officer for Baylor Grapevine from 2011 to 2014. He’ll lend interim leadership in Waxahachie while Baylor Scott & White looks for a replacement.

York went to East Tennessee State University for his bachelor’s degree and a master’s in business administration.
