A Handful Of North Texas Hospitals Win Healthgrades Awards For Women’s Health Outcomes

Six hospitals in Dallas-Fort Worth popped up as recipients of 2018 Women’s Care Awards from Healthgrades.

The awards span three categories—gynecologic surgery, labor and delivery, and obstetrics and gynecology—with some hospitals winning multiple categories. Medical City Healthcare took home the most hardware; three of the system’s facilities combined for six total awards.

The awards are based on patient outcome data from 2014 through 2016, which Healthgrades analyzed to find its honorees. The award winners fall in the top 10 percent of hospitals evaluated. North Texas’ winners:

Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award Recipients:
• Medical City Dallas and Medical City Children’s Hospital (Dallas)
• Medical City Weatherford

Labor and Delivery Excellence Award Recipients:
• Baylor Scott & White – Sunnyvale
• Medical City Arlington
• Medical City Dallas and Medical City Children’s Hospital (Dallas)
• Methodist Charlton Medical Center (Dallas)
• William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital

Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Award Recipients:
• Baylor Scott & White – Sunnyvale
• Medical City Arlington
• Medical City Dallas and Medical City Children’s Hospital (Dallas)
• Methodist Charlton Medical Center
