Ophthalmology Practice Building Ambulatory Surgery Center in Plano

|

Brooks Eye Associates is building a 20,000-square-foot clinic and ambulatory surgery center in Plano. It’ll have two operating rooms with pre- and post-surgery rooms, consultation and diagnostic areas, offices, and a reception area.

The ophthalmology facility will be located at the corner of Gillespie Drive and State Hwy 121. Construction will start in June, with expected completion in January 2019.

Ophthalmology surgery is a segment that’s seeing growth, some of which can be attributed to an aging population. Global Markets Inc. estimates that the industry generated more than $12 billion in revenue last year.

“This project is a huge step forward in the evolution and growth of our practice,” says Brooks Eye Associates owner and founder Dr. Dain Brooks in a statement. “It exponentially increases our ability to serve the community.”
