Texas Health Resources’ hospital in Mansfield will be a joint venture with Florida-based Adventist Health System. It’ll cost $150 million and be called Texas Health Hospital Mansfield.
Texas Health provided the extra details about its plans late last week, after reports earlier this month on the Mansfield City Council’s approval.
THR and Adventist have collaborated on hospitals previously, including 356-bed Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South. Adventist is one of the largest not-for-profit health systems in the U.S., with nearly 50 hospital campuses.
The nuts and bolts, if you missed them: This will be a four-story, 83-bed campus encompassing 195,400 square feet, plus another 80,000 square feet for a medical office building. The office building will house primary care and specialty practices.
The hospital will have an ER, general surgery, women’s care, orthopedics, and interventional cardiology. It’s on 38 acres at the southeast corner of U.S. Hwy 287 and Lone Star Road in the Johnson County portion of Mansfield (Mansfield spans portions in Tarrant and Ellis counties, as well). It’s scheduled to open in late 2020.
Texas Health also has an adult substance abuse treatment plant in Mansfield called Texas Health Recovery & Wellness Center, which opened in 2017.
