Children’s Health CNO Mary Stowe Talks Nursing Shortage

The nursing shortage continues to be a topic of great concern for healthcare executives across Dallas-Fort Worth and elsewhere, so I was thrilled when Children’s Health Chief Nursing Officer Mary Stowe accepted my invitation to go to lunch and talk it over. Her talent situation might be slightly different than others, she informed me, because pediatric hospitals such as Dallas-based Children’s attract so many new graduate applicants. The trick, then, is about finding the right mix.
