The Tip Line Related To The Tyler Nurse Murder Case Has Been Flooded

By  |

A tip line set up in the aftermath of murder charges against a Tyler nurse has yielded more than 200 calls, the Tyler Morning Telegraph reported this week and I’ve confirmed.

The case, which I’ve written about previously, involves a murder charge against 34-year-old William George Davis, a nurse with Irving-based Christus Health System who worked at Christus Mother Frances Hospital – Tyler. Police say Davis injected air into the arterial line of 47-year-old Christopher Greenaway, causing him to suffer an ischemic stroke due to air embolism and die.

Police have said they’re investigating additional cases and that more charges could be coming. Christus set up a tip line for additional information, and hospital officials told the Morning Telegraph that it has been busy. Read that story here.

I also reached out to Christus directly and received this statement:

We have received approximately 200 calls since we set up a hotline following the arrest. We are not able to give details about the nature of those calls because of the ongoing investigation.

At the moment, we are working through those calls and thoroughly reviewing patient records.

Our health care ministry is rooted in our mission to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ; the alleged actions of one person will not take away from the continued exceptional, holistic care provided to our patients and their families.
