Parkland Health & Hospital System has promoted Corey Jackson to the role of executive vice president and chief talent officer.
Jackson, who’d previously served as associate chief talent officer, takes over for Jim Dunn, who is moving on to be chief human resources officer at Charlotte, North Carolina-based Atrium Health, per Becker’s Hospital Review.
Jackson brings a background in diversity and inclusion to the position. He’s a former VP of compliance, diversity, and ethics at George Mason University in Virginia. Prior to that, Jackson spent three years as the NCAA’s director of diversity and inclusion.
He has a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.
Jackson now oversees Parkland’s talent strategy and employment experience, and leads the office of talent management division, as the system further delves into in its press release:
The division encompasses traditional human resources functions such as benefits, compensation and employee relations plus additional service areas including but not limited to: talent acquisition and workforce planning, talent analytics, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, engagement and culture, language services and pastoral care.
