Concentra Expands Telemed Platform To Rehab Patients

Concentra is continuing the expansion of telehealth use cases by allowing workers’ compensation patients to do physical therapy from home.

The Addison-based company announced today that’s it’s adding tele-rehabilitation to the mix on its Concentra Telemed platform. Injured workers will be able to connect with licensed Concentra therapy clinicians to complete PT visits from home.

The visits can be completed through a real-time video connection on a smartphone, tablet, or computer.

“Through this offering we will expand patient access and ensure strong outcomes and efficient case closure for employers, which reduces costs and increases productivity,” said Giovanni Gallara, Concentra’s senior vice president of national therapy and ancillary services, in a statement.
