Prism Health North Texas has named Dr. Deborah Morris-Harris as its first chief medical officer. The position was created to provide leadership in the organization’s clinical research studies department.
In this new role, Morris-Harris will work with Prism patients, medical staff, and its medical director. Her responsibilities include leading the organization’s integrated HIV medical care services, developing new healthcare services, and expanding HIV prevention services and treatment in North Texas.
Morris-Harris most previously served as CMO at Austin-based Community Care, a large, federally qualified health center known for its out-patient HIV practice. Prior to Community Care, she worked as a staff physician at Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas.

Her experience, proven dedication towards community service, and knowledge of HIV primary care will help enable the organization to further expand the incredibly successfully programs and services.”
Morris-Harris earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and an MBA from Texas Christian University.
