Texas Health Resources Presbyterian Hospital Denton has named a new president to replace its outgoing leader, who announced in November that he would be stepping down after occupying the top job for more than a dozen years.

Jeff Reecer, who has been president of Texas Health Resources’ Allen hospital since April 2012, will begin the new job on January 10. He will join Chief Medical Officer Timothy Harris and Chief Nursing Officer Melissa Winans in the hospital’s C-suite. This is his second act at the Denton hospital: He served as vice president of operations there for 11 years before getting the Allen job.

“Jeff is familiar with and to Texas Health Denton and we are pleased to welcome him as president and a member of the leadership triad,” Winans said in a statement. “His many years of leadership will be vital as we continue to address the health needs of our community.”

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen last week announced that Jared Shelton would be replacing Reecer in its top job. He also begins January 10.
