The Children’s Medical Center Foundation announced that it raised more than $1 million for the pediatric healthcare system during its annual two-day Radiothon event.

The Christmas is For Children Radiothon fundraiser aired December 10 and 11 on NewsRadio 1080 KRLD, 98.7 KLUV, La GRANDE 107.5 FM and raised a total of $1,003,236 that will go toward funding new programs and care at Children’s. The annual event is a partnership between CBS Radio, the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and the foundation. It aired 22 pre-recorded testimonials over the two days.

“The incredible patients and families we serve along with the continued generosity of the Dallas-Fort Worth community never cease to amaze us,” said Christopher J. Durovich, president and CEO of Children’s Health.
