Avanti Senior Living will break ground in January on a new $15 million assisted living and memory care community in Flower Mound. Located just north of Cross Timbers Road and Long Prairie Road, the 77,000-square-foot project is expected to create at least 50 new jobs and open in early spring 2016.

Avanti is partnering on the project with architects at PRDG, interior designers at studioSIX5, and brokers and developers at Cypressbrook Co. The company is led by co-founders Tim Hekker, CEO, and Lori Juneau-Alford, COO.

The Flower Mound facility will offer 50 assisted living and 40 memory care suites. Amenities in the one- and two-bedroom units include walk-in closets, oversized showers, stone countertops, and RFID keyless entry, which will allow residents to enter and exit their suites without worrying about carrying their keys.

Launched in 2013 and based in the Houston area, Avanti plans to initially build senior living communities in Texas, Florida, and Louisiana, before expanding to other markets nationwide.
