Community Hospital Corp. Expands Post-Acute Care Leadership Team In Plano

Community Hospital Corporation, a Plano-based owner, manager, and consultant of hospitals across the southwest, has expanded its Post-Acute Care resource team in response to demand from hospitals looking to improve their post-acute care performance capabilities. CHC currently owns five long-term acute care hospitals (LTACHs) in Texas, Kentucky, and North Carolina, and plans to develop more facilities in the coming years.

According to Michael D. Williams, CHC’s president and chief executive, CHC expanded its leadership team in an attempt to better serve healthcare providers and hospitals in communities needing better and more highly specialized care.

Leslie Boney was promoted from vice president to senior vice president of CHC’s Post-Acute Services as a result of this leadership team expansion, while Kliff Rodgers joined the CHC ContinueCARE team as vice president and CFO of Post-Acute Services.

“We are working more with hospitals interested in improving their post-acute care strategy at a time when patient populations are aging and are generally more likely to need longer to recover from illnesses,” said Boney in a press release. “As the need for long-term care increases, post-acute care programs extend the continuum of care, enabling patients to receive the right level of care in the right place.”
