Tenet Featured in Healthier Hospitals Report

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare was among the 25 hospitals featured in the Healthier Hospitals Initiative’s 2012 Milestone Report.

The initiative, which includes about 700 hospitals, was formed in 2010 to improve providers’ sustainable purchasing practices and improve the sector’s environmental health. Efforts include healthier food practices and reducing energy use and waste. The group’s efforts saved about $32 billion in 2012 by reprocessing single-use medical devices.
