If you’re like many Americans, you spend eight or more hours a day in front of a glowing screen: From the phone, to the computer, to the television, and back again. After all that, who on earth has the motivation to endure a grueling workout? 

Our first playlist is all about inspiration, or more importantly, combating your inertia just enough to squeeze into those overpriced fleece pants and get your lazy self out the door. The following is a selection of tracks that immediately go for the jugular—high octane, up-tempo, loud volume, and a bad attitude. Let’s face it: That first step on the treadmill is the hardest, and you need a better catalyst than the nude photos on the Equinox website. Those will just make you feel worse. Put this playlist on, and see if you can resist the urge to get a move on.
