Session Pilates is Throwing a Party in Lakewood This Saturday

Plan your weekend fitness accordingly.

Session Pilates, which we recently crowned the best Pilates studio in Dallas, is finally opening a second studio in Lakewood this Saturday. This is *important* because it’s exciting to see local businesses thrive and grow, of course. But selfishly, I’m also looking forward to actually (hopefully) being able to book a spot on a reformer now that the studio has two locations.

In not so selfish news, it’s been really wonderful to see the support from and of other local studios and businesses. If you’ve been following Session’s Instagram stories, you’ve seen a list of raffle items for the studio’s Saturday grand opening (we gathered them below for future reference) with the occasional Insta shout out from the fitness community sprinkled in. Locally-based Oasis Plant Shop and Dallas artist Matthew Brinston were enlisted to help put the finishing touches on the space, while Class Studios, CycleBar, and Evolve all shared their invite to Saturday’s event on social media. For a studio that fosters comradery over competition, encouragement from our increasingly competitive boutique fitness community is lovely to see.

Here’s that raffle roundup for reference. Details for the grand opening can be found right here.

  • 2 tickets to Bruno Mars’s October 14 concert at American Airlines Center
  • A Kerastase gift basket courtesy of Blow Salon
  • A chef’s tasting for four at Alice
  • A flower arranging class at The T Shop
  • A backyard BBQ for twelve courtesy of Ferris Wheelers
  • One handmade piece of jewelry from All the Wire
