Our zen has been disrupted.

The zen-ful flow of yoga at Sylvan Thirty has been disrupted. One of the charter businesses to open its doors at West Dallas’ Sylvan Thirty development, Sync Yoga & Wellbeing, has closed.

According to an e-mail sent out June 25 to its students, the owners (Jennifer and Charles Lawson) stated they “have exhausted our resources and have not been able to keep up with the ongoing and unpredictable increases in the cost of doing business at our current location.”

Although the studio shuttered its doors effective immediately, the letter to students focused concern on memberships and classes previously purchased, stating that management is “working very hard to finalize the plan so that Sync’s commitments to you will be honored.”

The letter also offered students the option to share contact information with an unnamed studio in the area that’s agreed to honor pre-paid Sync classes.

The yoga studio first opened in the Bishop Arts District in October 2011 and relocated to Sylvan Thirty in January 2015. You’ll be sorely missed, Sync Yoga. Namaste.

D Magazine reached out to owner Jennifer Lawson, but was told there was no additional information to share at the moment.
