Earth Day is upon us. A day commemorating the birth of the modern environmental movement. A day to raise awareness about the dangers of plastic pollution. And a day perfectly suited to doing yoga outside.
To add to the celebration on Sunday, April 22, we rounded up a few local spots to do some sun salutations (some with goats, some without) while paying homage to Mother Earth.
Goat Yoga Events
Recently, a New York City-based friend of mine informed me that Manhattan is just holding its first goat yoga class. What rubes, right? For almost a year now, Dallas has been bringing out the mini goats, which will be on hand to provide moral support during your downward dogs once again in both Fair Park and Hari Mari’s Deep Ellum headquarters.
Exhale Yoga at Klyde Warren Park | Sunday, 10am
This isn’t strictly an Earth Day event per se, but we can’t imagine a better way to celebrate than yoga in a beautiful park.
Earth Day Flow in Victory Park | Sunday, 11:30am
Victory Park-based Yoga Pod is offering up a 75-minute class in the plaza outside their studio and the opportunity to donate to Greater Good, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to protecting people, pets, and the planet.
