Because going the distance is always worth it.

Like a lot of other runners out there, my hamstrings (at the glute connection – called the ischial tuberosity) have been aggravated and injured for many years now. 😒 I've been in chiropractic, PT, sports medicine and orthopedic care and it's just one of those annoying "syndrome" type injuries that plagues you when you have muscle imbalance, tightness, and issues with your kinetic chain. It's like a roller coaster because it gets better and then it flares up, and so my legs rarely, if ever feel "good." Today before my run I did legs and glutes BEFORE my run (see below for the exercises) and when I ran my 5 miler it's like my glutes actually turned "on!" (My PT said I did "propioception training." πŸ‘πŸΌ) I also got to run for the second time in my @topoathletic Fly-lyte 2s and they performed great! Shoe review coming soon about them #ontheblog! πŸ’ͺπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’— . -Sissy rope squats -Back squats with toes straight -1 legged deadlifts arabesque style -One legged bosu glute bridges -Ankle banded 45 degree forward single leg lunges . . Self love and acceptance never goes out of style.

Relaxed vs. Posed: cheers to 5 second transformations and the fact that no one walks around posed all day. Like man that would be exhausting AM I RIGHT?! It's crazy, the difference flattering angles can make. And I'm not scared to share photos like the one on the left, because I don't want you to think I only walk around looking like the photo on the right. It's fun to pose and hit good lighting and show your best angles, but guess what? That doesn't make your relaxed, unposed, un-flexed body any less worthy of love. Wanna show your best angles? Have at it girlfrannnn! But don't feel like less of a woman when your "unflattering" angles come out to play. A posed photo should never be your standard of beauty. #transformation #fitness #health
