1. Food From Crete

Now you can learn to cook delicious, good-for-you dishes like the ones you grab pre-made from Central Market. Rosemary Barron, former owner of Kandra Kitchen Crete, will introduce you to the traditional, colorful staples of Crete. Menu items include smoked trout salad with cucumbers and olives; allspice beets and watercress; paximadia (rusk) salad; rigani (oregano) lamb and potatoes; beet greens with latholemono (lemon and oil dressing); and bay-scented sweet figs.

2. Plant-Based Cooking Demo

In this free class, healthy eating guru Maria King will show you the ropes of cooking yummy, healthful meals that maximize your time and budget.

3. Veggie Va-Va-Voom

Sur La Table is partnering with Fine Cooking Magazine to show you how easy it is to make veggie dishes you actually want seconds of. The chef instructor will share secrets for cooking with spices and herbs and giving vegetables extra oomph using homemade vinaigrette and spreads. At this class, you’ll prep snap peas with Turkish tarator sauce, Persian-style carrots and black-eyed peas, crispy flattened potatoes with lemon and oregano, and beet muhammara. Classes are limited to 16 participants.

4. Clean Spring Eating

Rack up techniques for preparing dishes packed with antioxidants, fiber, calcium, and Omega-3 fatty acids that will enhance your overall well-being. Professional chef instructors at Sur La Table will help you get your hands dirty as you prep seeded honey whole wheat quick bread, spelt berry salad with peas and feta, and grilled salmon with tomatillo and pumpkin seed sauce. Top it all off with vanilla chia pudding with cocoa nibs and strawberries. Classes are limited to 16 participants each, so you’ll get a generous taste of everything you make.

5. Calling All Kids

6. Party Pro

Although this is a pricier option, you’ll get one-on-one attention in the comfort of your own home, as well as control over what you make and your cooking team.
