Sports and Social Leagues to Join in Dallas

It's easy to get in the game with these local athletic clubs.

Did you know Dallas has more adult social sports leagues than anywhere else in the country? Leagues are awesome way to get active, laugh, and meet up with new and old friends on the regular. Best yet? No experience is necessary. Here, the leagues you can join this spring and summer. 

1. Flag Football
Lace up your cleats and get ready to show off your end-zone dance. Lonestar Sports and Social Club (Lonestar SSC) is playing eight-on-eight, co-ed social and super-social flag football on Wednesday evenings in Fair Oaks Park starting June 3. Dallas Sport and Social Club (DSSC) club has both men and co-ed options.

2. Kickball
Everyone’s favorite schoolyard game grew up well. Happy hour usually starts before the first pitch. Lonestar SSC will play Wednesday evenings in Norbuck/McCree Parks starting May 20. DSSC will kick off its season on June 2 in Glencoe Park with Tuesday and Wednesday night options.

3. Dodgeball
Calling all gym-class heroes! DSSC invites you to de-tress by throwing balls at your friends on Sunday nights starting May 10. Games will be held at Sandbar Cantina & Grill.

4. Sand Volleyball
Bump set and spike in the sunset with fellow beach bums. DSSC offers recreational, intermediate, upper intermediate and competitive levels with two to six players at Sandbar Cantina & Grill on almost every night of the week.

5. Soccer
Kickstart your workout regimen in a fun way! DDSC offers co-ed, outdoor soccer on Tuesday nights starting June 8. You can alternately beat the heat with Lonestar SSC’s indoor option in Carrolton on Wednesday evenings starting May 6. It’s not too late to sign up! Image courtesy of DSSC.

6. Cornhole

7. Softball
Get out there and play ball! Lonestar SSC is teeing off its social and super-social co-ed leagues this summer. Games will be held on Tuesday evenings in Fair Oaks Park starting June 2. DSSC also has co-ed intermediate/recreational play on Thursday nights and men’s intermediate/recreational play on Monday nights starting June 4 and June 8, respectively; both are held in Glencoe Park.
