The Starck Club Mix

One of Dallas’ most significant cultural contributions of the 20th Century was the nightlife revolution that took place at the legendary dance spot, the Starck Club. The club’s original run was in the mid-1980s, and while there may have been some dark and illicit elements to the story, what’s often lost is how great the music was, and of course, the actual dancing.

It’s a legacy that still holds weight, as musicians who weren’t even born when the club was open are now making their own dance mixes that sound heavily influenced by the era. Whether you are of appropriate age to have danced in the Starck Club or not, the following mix is a great reminder of why the place mattered to so many Dallasites. It’s also the perfect accompaniment to an intense round of hot Pilates, or maybe just your own little dance party.
