We all see Alexa Conomos when we’re at our worst: 6 a.m., pajamas still on, hair a mess, reaching for the remote to turn on WFAA, Channel 8. Yes, it’s June and unlikely, but isn’t there even a slight chance that there was an ice storm last night and the roads will be closed this morning?

Before our second cup of coffee and after deciding it’s finally time to get out of bed, we stop and gaze at the TV and wonder, “how does she look so good?” followed by “I’m going to start working out more.”

Don’t fret too much. Even Conomos struggles with finding time in the day to work out. She shared with us her favored fitness routines. She seems like a girl I could hang with — just not before 8 a.m.

D: If you’ve got only 20 minutes to work out, what’s your routine?
Alexa: I have to admit that I have a tough time even finding 20 minutes a day to work out every day, ugghh!  But when I do, I’d either jog on the treadmill or walk with an incline between 6-8.

What’s your typical daily workout routine?
Uggh. I must admit, I’m not very disciplined about a daily routine. But I typically enjoy brisk walking mixed with running. And I do a 9-minute arm workout routine from Tracy Anderson (trainer to Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow). You can find it for free on YouTube. I like to do that on my breakfast break at work — it’s a great, quick way to feel like you’re doing something healthy.

What’s your usual breakfast?
I typically start my day with a handful of almonds within 30 minutes of getting up. Then I follow up with eggs and chicken apple sausage. I like to get breakfast to go at My Fit Foods — it’s so easy to bring to work. If I want a treat and feel like going the carb route, I head to Village Baking Co. for one of their amazing cranberry scones.

What is your go-to cheat meal?
That’s easy. Hands down, it’s pizza. Pizza topped with mushrooms, onions, pepperoni, and black olives. I follow that with cookies-and-cream ice cream.

Name a song from your workout playlist.
“Raise Your Glass” by Pink. Anything from LMFAO as well.
