Mary Suhm Costs City of Dallas $55 Million. Remember back in 2007 when then City Manager Mary Suhm did a secret deal with a company to let it drill for gas on park land, and then, when the deal was exposed, the city had to back out of it? That company, Trinity East Energy, sued the city and won. The city has exhausted the appeals process, and now we are going to have to issue a $55 million bond to pay for Suhm’s screwup. Her name is mentioned just once in this DMN story about the fiasco, but this is on her. The City Council will vote tomorrow on whether to approve the bond.

Residents Push for Traffic Light on Mockingbird. After another fatal crash happened near White Rock Lake, neighbors have upped their efforts to install a light and slow things down.
