Hedge Fund Manager Claims Judge Based Villain of Her Novel On Him. A lot to unpack here. Probably too much for the space at my disposal. Lemme see: there is a bankruptcy judge, Stacey Jernigan, who self-publishes what seem to be airport thrillers with a main character that sounds a lot like her. The bad guy in her latest is suspected of insurance fraud, fakes his own death, and apparently bears a physical resemblance to James Dondero. Why it matters: Dondero is involved in a bankruptcy case currently in Jernigan’s court. There’s a little more to it, so give it a read and ignore the typos near the end.
