This season, the NBA is switching to a new uniform supplier, Nike, and with that also comes another — [puts on khakis with like 15 pleats; they billow like a flag above a car dealership] — new wrinkle. Jersey sponsorships. Some teams have them. The Mavericks, I have recently learned, have not locked one down. They will. They’re in talks. They just haven’t done it yet. What I’m saying to you is this:
It’s not too late for us to band together — as friends, co-workers, family, and sworn enemies briefly putting aside their massive differences just this once — to pool our resources and buy that sponsorship.
Not as D Magazine. Not as FrontBurner. No, there is only one choice that makes sense. And I think you know exactly what that means.
