Come Hear Joe Tone Talk Tonight About His Bones Tome

I'm going to throw nothing but fastballs at him.

Joe Tone, former editor of the Dallas Observer, moved away from Dallas a couple months ago, but he returns tonight to talk about how much he hates both Dallas and kittens. Oh, also, he’ll talk about his new book, Bones: Brothers, Horses, Cartels, and the Borderland Dream. Here are three reasons why you should come to Interabang Books at Preston and Royal at 7 p.m. to catch his road show:

1. Because I’m going play host for this panel of one, and I’m going to ask Joe some really tough questions. I’m going to start with a deep exploration of the state of his marriage before I move on to what he thinks about the Confederate statues. But I promise: we’ll get around to the book.

2. Because before we go to Interabang, I am going to drag Joe to the Old Monk to “prepare” for our conversation by forcing him to do shots of Jameson. Joe will be on Think today at 1 p.m., and, honestly, I plan to ask all the same questions that Krys Boyd asks him on her show, but the answers I’ll get will be way different.

3. Because Bones is a really good book, and Joe is a smart, funny guy. It should be a fun time.
