Ken Paxton's courtroom drama, the Dallas holiday parade might be done for, and a bounty hunt turns deadly.

Ken Paxton Will Get a New Judge. Judge George Gallagher kicked the Texas Attorney’s securities fraud case out of Collin County in March, citing a tainted jury pool. Now, the 5th court of appeals has kicked Gallagher out of the case, siding with Paxton’s lawyers who argued that the Collin County judge didn’t have the authority to follow the case its Harris County destination. The court also deemed Gallagher’s subsequent orders, such as the September trial date, null and void.

Bounty Hunters’ Capture Goes Bad. A shootout broke out when two bounty hunters tried to capture their target at a Nissan dealership in Greenville. All three men were dead when police arrived on the scene. The window-shattering gunfight occurred in the showroom in front of customers and kids, though no onlookers were hurt.

Gunshop Next To Euless Police Department Burglarized. Euless Guns & Ammo is a stone’s throw from the police station. Maybe less. You might even be able to crumple up a sheet of paper and hit the PD. Which is interesting because police are now investigating an incident in which thieves smashed the front window of the ammo shop and made off with 39 guns in less than two minutes. This is almost as strange than that time an Austin barbecue joint went down in flames a few doors down from a vegan firehouse.

Will the Dallas Holiday Parade Live On? After nearly 30 years sponsoring the parade, which got shut down by rain the last two, Children’s Health announced it’s done with the tradition.

Chipotle’s Data Breach Included 14 Dallas Locations. Last month, the inventor of the burrito bowl (I may have made that up) revealed that it was hacked. And yesterday, the crunchy taco shell creator (also made up) released all the locations hit by the cyber attack. If you used a card at a Chipotle between March 14 and April 18, you need to read this, which will then direct you to helpful information provided by the barbacoa innovator (really just thought I’d try giving the chain some good press for a change).
