The Clown Nightmares Continue. Late Tuesday night, a 31-year-old woman was shot in the face in her North Texas home after three intruders broke in. Two of them were wearing clown masks. One of the intruders shot the woman in the face before they fled, and she sustained injuries to her arm and nose. The case is being investigated as a burglary of habitation.

Dallas Judge Resigns Before He Is Removed. Dallas appellate court justice David Lewis resigned from the 5th Court of Appeals Tuesday after his colleagues sought his removal from office. Fellow justices said alcoholism and depression caused his work to suffer and that his behavior while at work was erratic. Lewis had been elected to the appellate court in 2012.
