Greatest Dallasites: The Race For Last Place

Who will finish at the bottom of this list of notable locals?

As I mentioned last week when we launched our Greatest Dallasites contest, inclusion on the list doesn’t vouch for a person’s character. There are crooks and cheats and unsavory human beings among the 303 people up for your consideration in the voting that finishes tomorrow.

We were not making value judgments in deciding who was in and who was out. We weren’t saying these were all people we’d like to go out and have a beer with. We were simply judging based on the impact made by each individual, either within Dallas or in the world at large (excluding anyone primarily known because of acts of violence.) So there should be no surprised that some competitors are clearly less popular with the voters than others.

While we’ve hidden the overall rankings from public view, I can confirm that a pitched battle is still being fought to decide who will end up at the absolute bottom. The top contenders for this dubious honor are sports commentator Skip Bayless, televangelist Kenneth Copeland, and Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price.

This raises the question: would you rather be at the end of this list (but on the list) or have been excluded entirely?
