Voting in our Greatest Dallasites competition continues through Friday, so there’s plenty of time to work your way through the 45,451 possible match-ups that will be randomly generated as you click to cast your votes. That’s how many there are now that we’ve added four more competitors. The newbies are:

Bob Lilly and Don Meredith — We already had the Dallas Cowboys well-represented. But when readers asked how we could have left out these two members of the team’s Ring of Honor, we didn’t have a good answer.

Donald Seldin — We dubbed him the “father of Dallas medicine” in 2013, and so the longtime head of UT Southwestern’s medical faculty is well-worthy of inclusion.

Lewis Sperry Chafer — The founder and longtime president of Dallas Theological Seminary influenced generations of evangelical pastors.

If you get in there and keep voting, these newcomers have as good a shot as any of the others at making the top 100 and appearing in the December 2016 issue of D Magazine.
