3 New Contenders Have Entered the Greatest Dallasites Arena

You'll decide whether they can climb their way into the top 100.

This morning the good gentlemen of the Ticket Radio were apparently talking about our Greatest Dallasites of All Time project. They even had Fake Nolan Ryan on to bad-mouth Ebby Halliday.

They also expressed confusion about a couple aspects of the contest, which I would like to clear up now:

  1. The match-ups you are asked to vote upon are randomly generated. We have a pool of almost 300 competitors, and the tool we’re using to run the contest randomly picks two from the list each time you visit the page. Once you vote on one matchup, it grabs another two at random for you to judge.
  2. The leaderboard updates as new votes come in, so it is an up-to-the-minute ranking of where the competition stands.

In my post on Monday explaining how this all works, I also invited readers to suggest additional worthy contenders that we may have overlooked. I’ve received quite a few suggestions, and our brain trust has agreed to add three for your consideration.

They are the musician St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark), the father of modern cheerleading Lawrence Herkimer, and Episcopal minister/adventurer Hudson Stuck. They and the 295 others in the running need your support.
