Drownings and a dog attack.

Man Swept Into Turtle Creek. Last night’s intense storms pushed a man and his car into high waters on Turtle Creek, and rescue crews are still looking for him this morning. Meanwhile, unrelated to the rain, yesterday an 18-year-old drowned in Lake Grapevine and two men drowned in Lake Ray Hubbard over the weekend.

Mudslide Blocks Traffic. A portion of Texas 183 in Irving has been shut down this morning because last night’s weather caused a river of mud to cover the road.

Woman Recovering After Dog Attack. Tamika Batts says she was mauled by loose pit bulls last Thursday in Oak Cliff. “You could tell they was fighting dogs,” Batts said. “They just went in for the kill and started attacking me.”
