A Few Questions for Councilman Philip Kingston

He's trying to lure the NBA All Star game to Dallas by calling North Carolinians "shoeless hillbillies."

Last night, Coucilman Philip Kingston gave an interview to CBS Channel 11 about the prospect of luring the 2017 NBA All-Star Game to Dallas from North Carolina. In the interview, he referred to North Carolinians as “shoeless hillbillies” because their state has a controversial transgender bathroom law (which is why the NBA is moving the game). After watching the interview, I have a few questions for Councilman Kingston:

1. Was that segment taped at your house?

2. If so, who’s the guy in the blue shirt wandering around in your foyer?

3. Did your mother never teach you to sit up straight when you’re giving an interview?

4. How many times a week are you hitting the gym?

5. Are you only doing curls?

6. Have you considered throwing in a legs day every so often?

7. What is a “naked steal in the backcourt”?

8. Do you wish you could take back that obvious “slam dunk” quip?

9. Seriously, can you point to a single prior usage of the phrase “naked steal in the backcourt”?

10. Shoeless hillbillies?

11. Really?
