Aiming to boost its Dallas-Fort Worth footprint, Internet radio provider Pandora announced Tuesday that it has opened a new 5,000-square-foot Southwest regional sales office at 1717 McKinney in Uptown. The $1.64 billion company has enticed more than 200 million users since launching in January 2000, and has additional regional sales offices in Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Portland, and Seattle.

The new space here, designed by Dallas-based interior design firm Staffelbach, features an airy, open layout and pays homage to Texan musicians in the form of breakout rooms nicknamed for Willie Nelson, Beyoncé, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and others.

“The Pandora brand is all about the music, and this space represents that in a major way,” Staffelbach president and CEO Jo Heinz said in a press release. The Oakland, Calif.-based company’s new space includes collaborative workspaces and glass-walled meeting rooms, as well as brand-themed design flair and Pandora-sourced playlists providing ambient music that can be tailored to the tastes of visiting clients.

“Given Pandora’s extensive listener and advertiser base nationwide, we’re thrilled to establish a prominent presence in Dallas to focus on our business there and throughout North Texas,” Chris Long, Pandora’s regional vice president of sales, said in an email to D Business Daily. “One of the greatest things about Pandora is that we provide creative advertising solutions for businesses ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small, local businesses across the United States, as well as in DFW. We couldn’t be more bullish on the opportunity in DFW and across the U.S.”
