Sitting on a couch watching the Sochi Olympics on TV, it’s hard to appreciate how amazingly difficult these winter events really are—and how accomplished the athletes (like McKinney bobsledder Johnny Quinn) have to be. Although I can’t ski, and always thought “twizzle” was sort of a dirty word, I do have a slightly better understanding now of four-man bobsledding—coming up at Sochi this weekend—after climbing aboard the Winter Comet Bobsled Ride last year at Utah Olympic Park. (Or, as the Wife Unit refers to my Utah experience, the “three-and-a-half-man bobsled ride.”)
