Why: If you’re in it for the halftime performance by Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili peppers, what better place to watch than a music venue? Plus, there are $1 pizza slices and sliders.

Where: Texas Theatre
Starts: 5 pm
Why: A movie theater screen is appropriate for a game this big. Plus, there are drink specials all night long.

What: Super Bowl Watch Party
Where: Urban Taco
Starts: 4 pm
Why: There at 8 TVs, a jumbo projector, beer bucket specials, $1 team tequila cocktail shooters, $10 dozens of wings, and a DJ cranking tunes to follow it up if you’re celebrating your win.

What: Super Bowl Party
Where: Draft Media Sports Lounge
Starts: 5:30 pm
Why: The Sheraton’s sports-oriented watering hole is offering happy hour from 5 pm to 6 pm, $5 Grey Goose pear cocktails and 12 local and international draft beers. Oh, and there are 21 TVs, including a 104-inch screen. If your team disappoints you, play pool. If halftime fails to entertain, rent a private karaoke room instead.

What: The Big Game Watching Party
Where: Gas Monkey Bar N’ Grill
Starts: 3 pm
Why: Hosted by The Fan, this watch party includes all-inclusive fun. A $25 ticket provides access to the buffet and prize giveaways. A $200 VIP booth includes admission for four, the buffet for all, Gas Monkey hats, and four Gas Monkey pilsner glasses to take home.

Why: Every Sunday’s a watch party at Katy Trail. The patio’s packed, brews are cold, and TVs are blaring with sound reaching the full patio. Watch from the outdoor picnic tables (complete with heaters for chilly weather) or inside at a table big enough for a group outing.
