Barrett Brown Book Will Be Released After All

Now that the kid is clean and sober, he's apparently cranking out the pages.

For those who’ve come to enjoy Barrett’s dispatches from prison, there’s good news about his second book. He started writing it in 2006, before his life got, um, complicated. According to a website set up for his legal defense:

The book was originally titled Hot, Fat, and Clouded: The Amazing and Amusing Failures of America’s Chattering Class and consisted of his attack on the ubiquitous newspaper columnists and media pundits who are undeservedly so influential and able to form public opinion. … We are excited to announce that we have rescued the book from its fate and that it will soon see the light of day. Newly titled as The Twilight of American Competence: Thomas Friedman, Charles Krauthammer, and the Decline of the United States, the text will become available as an eBook this spring for donors to his legal defense fund.
