bestofseason2Have your friends noticed your uncanny resemblance to famous murderer John Wilkes Booth? Do you have a believable British accent? Second Thought Theatre wants you. To audition, that is. There are roles still open in the theater company’s full production of Mike Bartlett’s play Cock as well as the staged reading of Booth, written by Steven Walters. If any of you actor types are interested, you can find more details here.

The AT&T Performing Arts Center’s black box space will allow for more seating and walk-up ticket sales, creating more opportunities for everyone to brush up on their voyeuristic instincts. Tonight’s show is “Best of Season 2,” so basically a grab-bag of true tales.

Continuing in a creative vein for the evening, writer/director Akin Babatunde presents a new work in South Side on Lamar’s underground performance space that pays homage to the culture and community of South Dallas. Drop by Lee Harvey’s after for a Tecate with lime and salt. It just sounds like a nice Monday night drink.
