Dallas Morning News editorialist Tod Robberson opined about Mitt Romney’s appearance at the NAACP convention in Houston. Freelance writer and Village Voice scribe Roy Edroso didn’t like what Robberson wrote. Actually, Edroso has a point of sorts (though Robberson’s first name isn’t “Tom,” and he’s hardly a Tea Party type). If the NAACP’ers booed Romney about Obamacare, so what? They also gave him pretty good applause when he defended traditional marriage. It’s hard to see how expressing one’s opinion “demeans the political process,” as Robberson puts it — whether you’re clapping or giving a speaker the business. Some call that free speech.
