Texas Rangers and Twins Flee Lightning

By Jason Heid |

This happened in the top of the fourth, during last night’s 13-inning victory Texas Rangers victory over the Minnesota Twins.

That thunder sounded loud through the TV, so I can only imagine how scary it was at the Ballpark.  I love how Mike Napoli immediately runs off the field, and the Minnesota player who was standing on first hits the deck.

Right after this they put the tarp on the field, even though it wasn’t raining. Don’t remember ever seeing that happen before. I think the grounds crew was shell-shocked.
