A social FrontBurnervian points us to NewsBlues (sub. req.), which informs us that Dallasnews.com has a new editor:
[F]our years after becoming news director at Tribune’s ratings-challenged KDAF-33-CW in Dallas (Market #5), David Duitch is taking a much different career arc by leaving the last-place station to become editor of dallasnews.com, the website for Belo’s Dallas Morning News.
Duitch has a long history with A.H. Belo as a former corporate news director for the group and as VP for the Belo’s Washington DC bureau for three years. He has also worked at CNN, as a senior producer in the New York bureau, and at WNBC-4 in New York. Duitch spent five years as news director at Belo’s flagship WFAA-8-ABC in Dallas (Market #5), before leaving in Dec. 2004.
In his new online assignment, Duitch is reunited with Jim Moroney, the publisher and chief executive officer of The Dallas Morning News, who gave Duitch his first news director job at KOTV-6-CBS in Tulsa (Market #59) in Jan. 1994, when Moroney was general manager there.
And now you’ll excuse me. I plan to spend the next three hours imagining Robert Wilonsky’s first meeting with his new boss.
