Where to Watch TNT’s Dallas in Dallas This Wednesday

I’ve gotten some requests, so I thought I’d point you guys to the couple places screening the two-hour series premiere of TNT’s Dallas remake, featuring old-timers Larry Hagman (our June cover model), Patrick Duffy, and Linda Gray, plus a bunch of young attractive people starring as the next generation of fightin’ Ewings.

Don’t forget to stop by FrontRow bright and early Thursday morning. Our special guest recapper, Terry Linwood, is a Jeopardy champ with an encyclopedic knowledge of the original show. Stay tuned.

The Texas Theatre (Free, 8 pm)

This screening is pretty official, since it’s sponsored by the Dallas Film Commission and South Side Studios (which is where all local production took place). Local cast, crew & VIPs get reserved seats, and the rest is first come, first serve. Just plop your Stetson anywhere, get a drink, and settle in.

Where to eat first: Mesa, Tillman’s Roadhouse (still mad that they took the 87 Ways off the drink menu, but, goat cheese tots), Chicken Scratch

Angelika Dallas (Free, 8 pm)

As you might know, the Angelika screens television shows fairly regularly and with immense popularity. Mad Men Sundays went gangbusters. Of course they’re doing Dallas. Arrive early, just in case, with at least one assertive friend who doesn’t mind protecting the seats while you visit the bar.

Where to eat first: Cafe Izmir (Mediterranean tapas!), Louie’s (cash or Amex, don’t forget), The Corner Market (they close at 8 pm)
