Higher Education Magazine Forming in Dallas

|

In 121 days, The Commons, a magazine about higher education, will launch from an office on Woodall Rodgers. I know this only because I was poking around on mediabistro.com (hey, just keeping my options open) and saw that the magazine needs a managing editor. According to a letter from publisher Eileen Hulme, “The Commons Magazine is published by Five Star Media, an established publisher of high-end magazines in fields such as mortgage and default serving.” When I did a Google search for “Five Star Media,” the only magazine publisher I found was the company behind Tattoo Life and Tattoo Energy. Those sound like more interesting reads than magazines about mortgage and default serving — or higher education, for that matter.
