This is all very foreign, but I find myself having not-indifferent feelings toward watching the baseball game tonight. Should Game 6 get canceled on account of wet stuff, there are other options. KXT 91.7 celebrates its second birthday with a band I wouldn’t mind seeing live at all: Los Angeles’ Fitz and the Tantrums. Look. I’m not a music expert. I don’t know much about them aside from the fact that I dig the band’s Motown vibe, much like I dig Mayer Hawthorne’s similar sound (and tunes about stuff that doesn’t work out– compare and contrast). Also, I know that this blog has taken issue with the radio station in the past. Not the point. It’s just something fun to do, tonight, if you’re not busy watching the Rangers beat the stuffing out of the Cards. Which is the point. Fort Worth band Calhoun and Cincinnati-based Walk the Moon open the show at the House of Blues, and tickets are still available.
