Loyal readers of the magazine will remember David Hopkins’ fine profile of Tammi True (aka Nancy Myers), who once upon a time danced burlesque at Jack Ruby’s Carousel Club. Now you’ll have a chance to see her perform in person. On April 29, she’ll be part of The Ruby Revue Burlesque Show as it celebrates its first anniversary at the Texas Theatre in Oak Cliff. Dallas, Texas — For Immediate Release — March 28, 2011 — The Ruby
Revue Burlesque Show celebrates its first anniversary with a very
special show at the Texas Theatre in Oak Cliff, Friday April 29 at
8:30 p.m.
The Ruby Revue Burlesque Show presents a variety show like no other
with special guests including Jack Ruby dancer and burlesque legend
Tammi True, circus burlesque performers, Evil Hate Monkey (Mr. Exotic
World, 2010) and Trixie Little (NYC), Baltimore), singer Jolie
Goodnight (Austin) and live music from The Royal Rythmmaires. Cast
members and local favorites such as Elisa, Ginger Valentine (Best
Tease, Texas Burlesque Festival), Melissa Meaow and Angi B Lovely
(Best Solo, Texas Burlesque Festival) and Ruby Revue dance troupes,
“Rated R” and “Ginger Valentine’s Lone Star Sweethearts” will also
perform.
“This show is really special for us, because of our connection to the
Texas Theatre and of course having Tammi True back for our anniversary
is a thrill. We have such a diverse line up, and audiences can expect
a true vaudeville show like only the Ruby Revue can produce.” said

Orleans Burlesque Festival and Elisa opened up the New York Burlesque
Festival with her tribute to the Big Apple. Ginger Valentine won “Best
Tease” in 2010 at the Texas Burlesque Festival and performs regularly
in New Orleans and has been a featured guest around the country.
The Ruby Revue also produces the Dallas Burlesque Festival (est 2009)
which attracted nearly 1,500 enthusiastic fans to the Music Hall at
the House of Blues in February of 2011. The Dallas Burlesque Festival
was also featured on the cable network G4’s program “Attack of the
Show.”

at the House of Blues.
